學英文不會輕易放棄秘密心聲
前總統馬英九受邀於15日出席在香港舉辦的亞洲卓越新聞獎頒獎典禮並發表演說，馬英九日前依規定向總統府提出申請，不過，總統府12日表示，馬英九卸任不到1個月，其經手過的相關機密仍具高度保密的必要，也尚待更多時間清查確認，且香港對我國的國安是高度敏感地區，國安局與香港政府相關合作並無前例可循，因此駁回申請，並建議馬英九可參考往例，透過國際視訊會議發表演說。
對此，馬英九13日受訪時表示，總統府拒絕讓他赴港演說已引起社會很大的爭議，這個決定是否必要、公平與合理，他相信社會自有公評。他說：『(原音)這樣的一個決議已經引起社會上很大的爭議，到底這個決定有沒有必要、是不是公平、是不是合理，全國人民都在看，我相信社會也自有公評。』
對於總統府以國安為由駁回申請是否有政治考量，馬英九則未回應，只說謝謝。
